University of Calgary Spring Wedding

Every wedding has its own unique charm, but Stephanie and Joey's wedding at the University of Calgary was truly one for the books. There wedding day was filled with love, surprises and unique details. Their whole day was hosted at The University of Calgary, which was a first for us as wedding photographers. From their first date at one of the campus bars, The Last Defense Lounge, to the beautiful spring day that their friend’s and family celebrated them at their wedding The University of Calgary holds so many memories for these two!

Stephanie and Joey put their hearts into creating a wedding that reflected their personalities and honoured their families. Joey made a symbolic gesture by changing into a kilt halfway through the day to pay tribute to both sides of his heritage. This thoughtful touch was one of the many things that showed how caring they both are.

Stephanie surprised everyone, including Joey, with a stunning black dress during the portraits section. It was a true testament to Stephanie's bold personality, and capturing Joey’s reaction was a highlight of our day.

One of the most memorable aspects of Stephanie and Joey's wedding was the warmth shared among their friends. Laughter echoed throughout the day, as inside jokes and playful banter created an atmosphere of pure joy. It was evident that their friends had become an extended family, and everyone had so much genuine happiness for these two The speeches in particular showed how close they all are as these were honestly some of the most unique and hilarious speeches we’ve ever seen after 11 years as wedding photographers!
