Outdoor Ceremony | Sylvan Lake Backyard Wedding

Laura and Bryan’s wedding had so much family significance. Their wedding venue was Laura’s grandparent's farm overlooking Sylvan Lake. Their wedding was the last hurrah before they sell the land. With that in mind they really did everything they could to have an epic party one last time and we can attest that they were definitely successful!

The morning started off beautifully, with tons of family and friends gathered in one place to get ready. Even though Laura and Bryan got ready in the same house they managed to save their first look as a private moment between just the two of them. The morning started off beautifully, with tons of family and friends gathered in one place to get ready. Even though Laura and Bryan got ready in the same house they managed to save their first look as a private moment between just the two of them. The farm and neighbourhood nearby were our playground for photographs so we explored all over. These two have so much fun together which is a dream for a photographer! And we had to stop for a visit from Laura and Bryan's dog, Stiegl, who also got a special moment walking down the aisle!

The ceremony was beautiful, tucked into a shady grove of trees, and was made even more special because they incredibly managed to get their good friend/ Brother-in-Law a one day marriage commissioner license so he could officiate the wedding ceremony. The reception and dance were all held outdoors on the land and food trucks came to feed everyone Tacos and Pizza – love it! I didn’t get a chance to try the mobile cocktail bar, but I know that it definitely helped get the dance floor going quickly! Also a special appearance by Mr. Worldwide himself really got things going!

Laura and Bryan have the sweetest connection with each other. I’ve known Bryan since Junior High, and I’ve never seen him happier than he is with Laura. They make each other laugh and compliment each other in the best way. We are so happy they found each other and we got to be their engagement and wedding photographers, we know they will have the best life together.
