Murrieta's Wedding in Canmore Alberta

We met Aaron and Asha for the first time at Higher Ground for coffee, and instantly we wanted to photograph their winter wedding! They both were so charming, happy, and beyond in love. However, if we am being completely honest it wasn’t until we photographed their engagement session that we really realized  the depth of their awesomeness  and how thrilled we were to be capturing their wedding story.

On the day of their wedding, we met Asha at her parent’s house. Upon arriving we were instructed by Asha’s father to, “follow the music downstairs.” Bright colours, cheerful music, and excitement greeted our cameras as we walked downstairs to meet Asha and her 6 bridesmaids getting ready for the wedding.

Aaron and Asha’s wedding continued in the same direction. Their ceremony was held at First Baptist church located on 4th street downtown. Which meant after exchanging their vows and receiving best wishes from their guests, we headed over to the Rose and Crown for a celebratory drink!

We then got to take in the sun setting out at Griffith Park. We probably could have spent forever out at Griffith Park with Aaron and Asha, but the party bus was calling us and it was time to head  to Murrietas in Canmore for their reception.

Murrieta’s set a cozy, comfortable atmosphere where friends and family gathered from all over to celebrate. They even had tiny snowflakes greet them at the end of the night!

Being a part of two people’s wedding day is not something we feel should be taken for granted. It is so amazing to capture the moments and excitement that is shared between friends, family, and the couple themselves. Truly, thank you Aaron and Asha for trusting us with such beautiful memories, and we wish you all the best in the next chapter of your life together.
