River Cafe Calgary Wedding

Located in the heart of Calgary, The River Café is one of our all time favourite wedding venues to photograph. Not only is the food some of the best in the city, but it has a classic, rustic vibe and staff members who always give special attention to their couples. Alicia and Andrew expressed how impressed they were with The River Café, especially when it came to dealing with the difficulties caused by planned their wedding during the pandemic. We weren’t surprised at all that they loved The River Café as much as we do!

After rescheduling from February, Alicia and Andrew hosted their wedding day on one of the stunning fall days we had in October. We are never sure where the weather is going to be at in October so when it’s plus 25 and we can be outside in Prince’s Island Park for the majority of the day photographing, it feels really special to us!

All of Andrew and Alicia’s events were close to The River Café making travelling around on foot on the day so easy. Both of them got ready at The Sheraton Eau Claire, before their first look in Prince’s Island Park. We love a big reaction to seeing each other for the first time on a wedding day and when they first saw each other tears streamed down their faces out of love and excitement.

Andrew and Alicia are the kind of people that when they give a hug or say thank you, you can tell they mean it so genuinely. We love celebrating couples like this and we can tell their closest friends and family were loving celebrating them just as much!

We hope we get to see them and their little pup Poppy again next time they visit Calgary. Here is a little peek into their amazing fall wedding at The River Café.
