If you grew up in Calgary you probably have some sort of memory of Camp Chief Hector. The place is a fixture of childhood for many an outdoorsy child in Calgary. One memory very few people have is getting to go to a wedding there. We have been a wedding photographers in Calgary for over 8 years now and we didn't even know that this mountain spot was possible!

Camp Chief Hector couldn't have been a more fitting spot for the wedding of Charlotte and Ryan! They are such an adventurous, outdoor-loving, laid-back couple that having their wedding day anywhere other than a summer camp surrounded by mountains almost seems wrong!

For Charlotte and Ryan's engagement session we went to Elbow Falls and they didn't hesitate for a second to go anywhere and everywhere around the falls. So we knew they'd be up for anything. Since traditionally wedding formal wear doesn't always allow for trekking around, luckily Charlotte and Ryan stayed true to their personalities and had hiking boots on and Charlotte's dress, (which she made herself!) was light enough to go anywhere around the camp.

We had such a fun time photographing Charlotte and Ryan’s engagement session and wedding. From their autumn engagement session at Elbow Falls to their bustling cabin filled dance party. They were just so much fun!

This was a great first for us and we hope it's not the last wedding we get to photograph at this beautiful spot with people this fantastic!
