Grazers Restaurant Wedding At Calgary Zoo

It was so special for us to be a part of Nikki and Hyowon’s wedding day this past October. We met Nikki for the first time at her sister’s wedding six years ago and we recently got to catch up at a family session one year ago and then again at her engagement session. It is really meaningful for us that we got to be their wedding photographers!

We have had the most spectacular fall this year and Nikki and Hyowon were blessed with a warm October day. Since the leaves hadn’t blown away, The Calgary Zoo’s garden was stunning with bright orange, red and yellow colours. It felt like the perfect setting for Nikki and Hyowon’s wedding day as they had put so much thought into so many personal touches for their wedding. Things like a bumblebee necktie passed down from Nikki’s grandfather wrapped around her bouquet and cute little honey jars filled from the family’s honey farm, so sweet! Nikki’s dad even hand built their beautiful wood archway. The ceremony and reception were held at the Grazers Restaurant at The Calgary Zoo and as a bonus there was even some alpacas there to witness the ceremony!

We wish all the best for Nikki and Hyowon, they are just so nice together and they really love and support each other. It was extra fun for us to be a part of another Giguere get-together, it’s so fun to see how the family has grown and we are sure it will only continue to get bigger!
