Downtown Calgary Restaurant Wedding Photography

Bailey and Nate’s wedding day was all about love. I actually think it was during their thank you speech that they really put it best. They expressed how every step they took they were greeted by a loved one, congratulating and hugging them. Love was felt everywhere and Brendan and myself got to be the lucky wedding photographers to capture their day.

I met Bailey at Le Germain hotel for getting ready, from the moment I opened the door, Bailey’s friends were ready to have a laugh with me. I immediately got to see the bouquet Nate and his friends made for Bailey. A pineapple wrapped in electrical tape and flowers. It’s so sweet to hear that even when Nate is hanging out with his friends making jokes, he always finds a way to include Bailey into them.

Brendan photographed Nate getting ready and as I sync our photos together, I noticed how much Bailey and Nate were doing the same things at the same time. Opening there present from each other, getting dressed, making jokes with they friends, they really are the perfect pair!

We did they first look on the rooftop of Le Germain. That is one of our favourite things about an off-season wedding, you get far more lucky to have access to stuff during months such as February. Le Germain Hotel was so accommodating and nice letting us use their beautiful hotel for photos! We then continued photos along Stephen Avenue and Rundle Ruins before their ceremony and reception at Royale restaurant.

This was our first time photographing a wedding a Royale and I couldn’t recommend it enough. The patio is absolutely beautiful for an outdoor ceremony and the inside is decorated romantically with string lights and hanging pots. The whole restaurant has a classic and garden vide that set a cozy romantic tone for Bailey and Nate’s wedding. PLUS Royale had awesome food and the friendliest staff!

Bailey and Nate’s wedding was a true joy to photograph; the people in their lives mean the world to them. It’s really wonderful to see how much they bring that thoughtfulness and love to each other. We know they will continue to have the best life together.
