Wildfire Smoke Wedding | Calgary Photography

There was just SO much to love about Yuen-ying and Keith! From our very first contact email Yuen-ying described herself and Keith as, “eclectic.” We remember thinking, “well these two seem so fun!” And, boy, they didn’t disappoint! Their engagement session and wedding continued to be so much fun!

We would first like to start off by saying that Yuen-ying made her own dress. we don’t think that is a task most brides would want to take on, but Yuen-ying took on the challenge and it turned out so beautifully awesome, with it’s traditional Chinese wedding gown and unique skirt shape at the bottom, we were in awe!

Yuen-ying and Keith’s wedding was so perfectly them. They had their intimate elopement wedding in Keith’s Mother's beautiful backyard located just off of the Bow River.  Their wedding happened to land on one of the smokiest days in Calgary, even though the BC fires aren’t something we would ever wish for, we made the most out of photographing in it. The smoke made for a really unique look that reminded us so much of a misty day on Vancouver Island.

Keith and Yuen-ying enjoyed their day so much and it really made us happy to be there capturing it. It was so obvious just how much their friends and family mean to them. Honestly, we can’t thank them enough for such a wonderful day!
