The Nash Wedding Venue

Since Stephanie and Scott’s engagement session, we were looking forward to their wedding for what seemed to be a long time, if you spoke to us over the past  few months, I’m sure you heard us talk about our New Year’s Eve Wedding at The Nash.

It was our very first New Year's Eve wedding in over 9 years of photographing weddings and we got to spend the last day of 2019 doing what we genuinely love – photographing two really great people and their wonderful friends and family! It was the perfect way to ring in the New Year.

The day started with getting ready. Upon arriving we quickly learned what a large and very tight group of friends Stephanie and Scott have. The energy of the girls getting ready was exciting, laughter and love filled every room of the beautiful Mount Royal home they got ready in. I learned that many special events from each of the bridesmaids had been hosted in this home and I felt so privileged to be their capturing Stephanie’s wedding preparation there! The boys’ getting ready was as usual, very chill.  We love very chill, Scott got ready at the Alt Hotel with loads of laughter, beer and memes!

Photos started with Stephanie and Scott seeing each other for the first time, we stuck around East Village and hit up St. Patrick’s Island, the Simmons Building and the Alt Hotel.  The wind made it a little chilly but luckily Stephanie and Scott had lots of friends to keep them warm.

Their ceremony and reception was held by fire and candle light at The Nash. The Nash had a romantic and beautiful feel, perfect for these two. We love hearing speeches; it’s such a funny part of the day and lets us get to know people so much better.

Stephanie and Scott have a lot of love in their hearts. Love for their daughter, love for their family, love for their friends and love for each other. This day will go down as one of our favourite memories of 2019; we can’t thank Stephanie and Scott enough for including us in such a wonderful day and we know they are going to have the best life together!

Here is a little peek into their memories!
