It’s so special being wedding photographers and getting the opportunity to meet new people. Meeting Cristy and Ken we instantly felt like we were were going to have a blast together. Both have so much natural style and charisma that it makes being around them so effortless and fun! Cristy opened the door for getting ready and we were met with a great big smile and a ton of love and excitement, it was such a wonderful way to start the day!

We really liked how they planned a first look right before their ceremony. They met to have a few words privately with each other right before the ceremony. It’s such a nice touch to take a quiet moment during the wedding day to really soak in all the feelings.

Their outdoor ceremony was at Spruce Meadows and had such an elegant vibe with fresh cut green grass and a big circular archway with tons of flowers. Coco, their adorable pup, stole the show as the flower girl walking with Ken down the aisle.

Mountains are super important to Cristy and Ken so we headed to Cobble Flats in Kananaskis. It was a beautiful summer day in the mountains with little streams running along the rocky paths and fresh summer flowers. We love a good group of bridemaids and groomsmen who made taking pictures so candid and natural. A highlight was when Ken made us laugh when he carried Cristy across the creek, there was no spot these two wouldn’t go!

The wedding reception was at The Carriage House Inn and a lot of thought and preparation from Events Manager Lino Savino really made the space just right for Ken and Cristy. The reception is a favourite for us to be a part of. We loved how candid, natural and fun everyone was. Being Cristy and Ken’s wedding photographers meant so much to us, we really enjoyed seeing their wedding vision finally come to life and we honestly just had so much fun with them. We know they are going to continue to have a beautiful life together. Here is a little peek into their story.
