Intimate Calgary Backyard Wedding

Alex and Brandon’s wedding was a special one for us. Since we’ve known Alex's family, the Jeffery’s, for such a long time we figured their wedding day was going to be filled with a lot of fun and unique moments. We were so excited we got to be their engagement and wedding photographers.

Their intimate wedding day was held at their house in their beautiful garden backyard. Because of the pandemic their original wedding day plans changed to a smaller intimate evening with immediate family. Even though their group was smaller than they had originally imagined, the intimate feel made the whole evening relaxed with good conversation, champagne, and even some bubble chasing for the little ones. We love that they chose a venue that meant so much to them, really what's a better setting than the home that you’ve built together. We met at their house to capture them getting ready, which was just the two of them. We wanted to incorporate as much of Alex and Bradon's home decor as we could as their personal style is one that we've admired for years. We did a few inside before heading to St. Patrick’s island for more photos.
Their ceremony and reception was held in their backyard with lots of personal touches surrounding them. We loved how Alex’s twin sister was the officiant for the ceremony and that Alex and Bradon had written their own vows.

The reception was outside as well, with retro table’s, flowers, candles and amazing catering from The Nash. We always have a ton of fun with the Jeffery’s but it was also so nice we got to meet Bradon’s family who were so welcoming, warm and fun.

We feel so honoured we got to be the photographers for Alex and Bradon. We can't thank them enough for sharing their day with us and we know they will continue to build a wonderful life together. A huge congratulations to them!
