Heartland Cafe Wedding

After Janessa & Carlos' engagement session we knew that they would be fun to photograph, but when we arrived at the hotel where Janessa was getting ready we were greeted by next level happiness!

We have met Janessa at many other wedding events, where she was a bridesmaid. Having been in so many wedding parties through the years Janessa was presented with the unique challenge of too many great, close friends! We think she found a really fun solution by having a big group of 'honorary bridesmaids' who all wore pink and came to help her get ready in the morning! This room of excited women was hilarious to put it mildly. There was so much laughter, champagne and dirty jokes, we couldn't stop taking pictures.

This was a perfect introduction to the day for us as the fun, laughter and champagne were all non-stop for the rest of the night!

We enjoyed gorgeous, soft, champagne coloured light courtesy of the smoke hovering over Okotoks. And then enjoyed amazing food in a truly unique setting at the Heartland Café, which is a converted old wooden church. The night finished off with a dance floor filled with people dancing to Calgary band Sugar Snap!
