Wedding at Downtown Calgary Restaurant

We are so excited to have met Nicole and Chad! Over a year ago they reached out to us about photographing their wedding, they were pregnant at the time and they voiced how photography was one of the most important aspects of their day. We honestly love hearing that! We did their engagement, and newborn sessions before their wedding day so we really got to know them as we photographed their journey as a family. Even though we only met Nicole and Chad for the first time last year, we feel like we have known them forever! They are such genuine people with a ton of love and happiness in their life. Their wedding day was such a reflection of that.

The day start off getting ready at Hotel Arts and there was always a rotating door of different friends and little ones stopping by to celebrate Nicole. Chad’s reaction to Nicole was literally jaw dropping as he saw her for the first time. After, they continued to share big laughs with their friends and family in Lindsay Park.

The weather was an absolutely perfect August day, not too hot and no rain. We took photographs all around Lindsay Park (with all the bunnies!) before heading to their ceremony and reception at Wurst. 

Wurst is such a neat wedding venue; they got married under the big indoor tree that is covered head-to-toe in string lights. The energy inside Wurst felt warm, everyone there was so happy to be together and celebrate two wonderful people! All of the speeches touched on exactly that, and brought a couple of happy tears along the way.
