We loved photographing Tyler and Taryn’s Calgary engagement session just a few days into the new year. It was a crisp, frosty morning, and by the time we reached Upper Kananaskis, a misty fog had rolled in, hiding the mountain views. But Taryn, Tyler, and their playful pup Kai didn’t mind, he happily rolled around in the snow, making the session even more memorable.

Winter engagement photos like this are some of our favorites because they let us connect with couples, making the wedding day photography relaxed and natural. Tyler and Taryn’s love for adventure, travel, and their pup shone through, and the fog eventually lifted to reveal the breathtaking Kananaskis mountains.

A magical start to 2026, and we can’t wait to capture their wedding this August, hopefully with plenty of sunshine!
